I didn't set out to paint her ... she wasn't on my mind at all when I began this painting. However I had intended to connect with some ancestral wisdom regarding a story I'm writing set in my birthplace of Jamaica.
Once upon a time I worked on the 23rd floor of a sparkly glass office tower in the downtown of a major city. At my desk I processed requests for multi-million dollar mortgages on commercial real estate. It was a great job!
A stellar sighting of a pod of dolphins this Winter Solstice morning from the Deerfield Beach pier.. too elusive to catch on film but warmed my heart to see them traveling south... Happy Solstice to all and bright blessings for the holiday season!
